Annual Meeting , December 17th-18th, 2007

Annual Meeting was held in Phnom Penh, attended by 10 participants representing 10 organizations. Main outcomes of the meeting show as followings:

 

  • Presentation of ICP progress: the participants shared their ICP activities and progress and problems and constraints they have faced. Main activities of their ICP include disseminating ICS by mainstreaming with other relevant program, raising fund to implement ICP, and cooperating with WENetCam in constructing ICS under School Feeding Program of WFP. Out of them, 3 organizations (CADET, AHRDHE and ASDD) have won small grants of local donors for financing ICS and char briquette project.

 

  • Reviewing WENetCam program and performance:

 

The secretariat has done/addressed:

·         disseminating information through regular meeting and other communication means (mainly the GFB)

·         providing capacity building and technical skill training to development workers and community stove builders

·         providing technical assistance to members and assisting them to access to funding opportunity

·         cooperating with members in ICS project implementation

 

The secretariat should do in the future

·         Raising fund to support members’ ICP

·         Further providing capacity building

·         Conducting more monitoring mission to member project area

·         Seeking more members

 

  • Developing action plan for 2008:

 

Responding to the need of network members for financial support, Mr. Iwan Baskoro, Country Director of GERES Cambodia, facilitated the discussion on action and budget plan which will be later developed by each participating organization. GERES assists them to seek the support. This planning was mainly focused on the Neang Kangrei stove pilot project that GERES will implement in collaboration with WENetCam members.
