New publications from Wood Energy Network of Cambodia
A booklet on Sustainable Wood Energy Use is compiled to broaden information on the importance of wood energy and to raise awareness of people on how to use this energy source sustainably. Furthermore, this booklet is a guide for project developers, extension workers, stove promoters and users who want to know how to deal with wood energy and improved cookstove successfully.
The book dedicates the explanation of wood energy and improved cookstove and its current situation, and ways to obtain and use it properly. So far, the compilation in the draft in English version was finished and distributed to involved experts (of GERES Cambodia) for comments and editing. Then, the book will be translated into national language (Khmer) and published in both languages.
A draft technical booklet on Baby Samaki Stove Construction, a step by step manual, was compiled and has been tried in training of community members organized by CEDAC. After the training the booklet gradually was improved to adapt to local condition. It will be finalized and printed in May next year.
Green Fire Bulletin no. 15 was published in September and distributed to target recipients as usual. GFB no.16 is under compilation and will be possible to be printed in March.
